Jacqueline Beneteau, affectionately known as Jackie, came to Devonshire Retirement Residence two years ago during a time when her health was declining. After meeting with a hospital social worker who spoke highly of the community, she chose to begin with a respite stay.

Therese Chabot’s journey to Devonshire Retirement Residence began as she searched for a peaceful new place to call home. The riverfront setting immediately captured her heart—the calming water, quiet walking paths, and sense of serenity reminded her of childhood memories and brought her comfort.

Throughout my stay it came to my realization just how much support I needed. I felt very supported by the management and the wonderful staff. This made my decision so much easier to become a permanent resident.
What surprised me the most being here and getting involved in the activities, I realised I still have my independence and control of my own well being. The activities allowed me to become more social and meet new people.
Living here at Devonshire has made me feel safe again. My health is not the best but knowing I have so much support here is incredible and reassuring. I feel so comfortable and well taken care of here.

My transition was very easy as I lived in another retirement home and Devonshire was surely a better fit for me. The people were very nice to me and I gained a very Best friend Stella right from the beginning.”
Whenever I need something there is always someone who will help you at any time. They help make sure my health is good and I have fun things to do.
I would recommend Devonshire because I can count on them for my care needs and emotional support. There are so many contagious laughs.
